For the Maand van de Geschiedenis, we created a series of key visuals exploring the theme ‘Natuurlijk!’ – the deep connection between humans and nature throughout history. Using Midjourney, we developed a striking visual that merges classical artistry with the unstoppable force of nature.

Inspired by ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, this key visual depicts marble statues slowly reclaimed by nature. Moss, vines, and wildflowers intertwine with the cold stone, symbolizing the passage of time and nature’s quiet resilience.

The visual plays with contrasts: the permanence of carved stone versus the organic growth of nature, the static versus the ever-changing. It represents how history, no matter how solidified, is always reshaped by time and the natural world.
